When it is Finally Bedtime!!!

Hello kRazy kAtz readers I hope y’all are doing well. The topic for today's blog post is our child's bedtime. Now I know we all love our children, but who here is relieved once bedtime comes? There is no shame in admitting it. I will admit it with a huge smile on my face. I can’t help but relax once I read the clock and it says Eight o’clock. I love my little girl, I do, but gosh she wears me out throughout the day. By the time her bedtime comes around I am yawning and hardly able to keep my eyes open. The little girl may look cute and innocent but she can be a terror. Taking the movies off the shelves, taking down the pillows from the couch, opening the garbage can and running off with the pieces of garbage she can reach, and don’t forget that when she is done with her food she throws it on the floor. Other than that I swear my child is an angel.

We have a routine we follow once the clock strikes eight o’clock. Her dad will change her diaper for the night, and I will make the warm milk. Since we are taking her off the bottle we put the milk in a sippy cup. We both give her a kiss and hug then I go lay her down for the night. We try to follow the routine every night around the same time. If her nap runs late and she isn’t tired by eight then we let her stay up a little longer. When I lay her down I can tell whether she is actually going to sleep or not. She will take one hand fist it in her blanky and pull the blanket up covering part of her face. That is her sign that she is exhausted and going to bed. If she doesn’t do that once I leave the room we will hear her from the living room squealing and saying Dada.

Today was actually one of those days I just couldn’t wait for bedtime. I love my child but don’t get me started on when she is teething. I just want her to sleep all the time because she is so moody that it’s terrifying. I told her no once, softly giving her a warning before I would raise my voice and she broke down screaming with tears rushing down her face like I had spanked her. It was horrible, but anyways let me know if y’all feel a bit of relief once bedtime comes around or I will be left thinking I am the only mother who does! Keep it real fellow readers...Until next time.
