So, starting today, I am beginning the journey of intermittent fasting! If you aren’t sure what intermittent fasting is, hang on to your hats, because I am about to explain it.
Let’s break it down.
Intermittent:
Coming and going at intervals : not continuous. Merriam Webster Dictionary
In reference to intermittent fasting, this is referring to the time between when you are eating, and when you are refraining from eating.
Fasting:
To eat sparingly or abstain from food Merriam Webster Dictionary
In reference to intermittent fasting, this refers to the frame of time when you abstain from eating food.
So, when you put the two together, the overall definition is:
Intermittent Fasting:
Intervals of time where, for ex.
Between 8pm and 12pm you abstain from eating. (You don’t eat/consume any calories.) RED
Between 12pm and 8pm you consume healthy fats and nutritious foods. GREEN

This is a program that four of my family and friends have tried, and I have personally witnessed their results. It works!
These four people each have very different body types, so I was extremely skeptical, especially because I LOVE FOOD. Without food I find myself feeling sluggish, grumpy, and extremely irritable.
When I spoke to each of them, they voiced nearly the same sentiments But, after 4-6 days they were feeling more energetic, lighter, and that burn in their belly when they craved food, it started to become more of a motivator than a hindrance.
So, I am going to give it a whirl. I have watched their results in person, and I want to put it to the test to see if this program will work.

I am going to weigh myself tomorrow morning, right after I wake up, so that I can get a good baseline weight. Then every Monday, for the next 4 weeks, I will post my weight along with pictures. This is going to be the hardest part simply because I am very self-conscious with my body, but this is for you guys, I want to know if this program can give fast results, and I am going to be very real with you.
